Lyons, 65, and his wife Martha had been doing missionary work in this city near the Arctic Circle in northern Russia for several months when the accident occurred, and contacted MedjetAssist personnel immediately. "From the first phone call, everyone at MedjetAssist made me feel that they were ready to bring my father-in-law home, " says Michelle Lyons, who has been helping coordinate the transport for the family. "They were open and encouraging of questions allowed me to express my concerns. I truly felt secure in knowing that my father-in-law was cared for, and there was also someone sensitive to the family's concerns." The mission to transport the couple from Murmansk began from MEDJET headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday and was completed when the Lyons land at Muskogee's Davis Field on Thursday, December 7th at 4:40pm. The cost of the transport, $60,000 if personally funded, was completely covered by the Lyons' annual MedjetAssist membership fee of $325. It provided them with a medically equipped jet and specially trained medical personnel at their side for the duration of the 12-hour flight back to Oklahoma. A Birmingham, Alabama based company, MedjetAssist is a worldwide medical air evacuation membership program, which
